Supervised Contact & Parental Assesment

The courts may direct social services to organsise supervised contact for parents who have become separated from their children for a variety of reasons. these may be due to child protection procedures, criminal procedures, family reasons etc. As a family support service we are often asked to supervise parents when they are reunited with their children on a temporary basis. This is often necessary to maintain the family. We write reports and make the assessments for the courts to help them make decisions in the best interests of the children.

This is very sensitive work and requires a great deal of expereince and knowledge on behalf of the family support worker. Staff are trained and expereinced in all aspects of supervised contact & report writing.

We provide staff with extensive childcare experience to undertake direct observations or carry out pieces of work directed by the courts and work with professional to complete the assessment.

We provide qualified experienced Social Workers to complete parental assessments or core assessments as required by Local Authorities or Courts.

U5 have contact centre based in the Liverpool Area and we are members of the national Association of Child Contact centres.
